Before meeting Bernadine there was little I knew about her. In meeting her I was thoroughly impressed with her gentleness and strength of character. It has left an indelible mark in my heart. She was so positive in her illness, always trusting God's plan for her. We should all take a page out her book of life and trust the good Lord for all the crosses and joys He brings us. I was very happy when Bernadine phoned me and had a long chat with me just before her last surgery. She poured out her love for me and I know that when I was on my death bed last year and survived, it was Bernadine's special prayer among others that God heard. She did mention her lovely English country garden and the memories she had especially the new seedlings she planted for every child she looked after. Now when I picture you Bernadine, I think of you as the most beautiful flower the Lord has in His garden. Rest in peace my dear Bernadine. You will always be in the hearts of those you touched with your love. Aunty Louisa.
