Although it had been many years since I saw Bernadine, the warmth and kindness that emanated from her during my childhood has always remained. From the excitement of calling her away from her studies to join us at meal times, to her teaching me how to make paper chains for Christmas (a method I still use to this day!), my memories of her are only happy ones. I’m so sorry I can’t be there on Saturday, but while you’re celebrating her life, I will be thinking of you all I with love and deepest sympathy. Much love from Daniel, Marielle and Sam. xx
